Visa is not mandatory in entering Maldives. Possession of significant and relevant travel documents will entitle a person to a 30-day stay in the country. This is issued in all of the country's ports of entry of the country free of charge.
The major documents required are a valid passport, a valid return and onward plane ticket, a minimum of 30.00 USD for pocket money and a confirmed reservation to any of the local hotels. Any person who presents these documents may enter and enjoy the country without any worry.
