Crime red alert in Suva and Nadi

It’s better to stay in your hotel after dark if you happen to be in Nadi or Suva as crimes are very common in these cities especially at night. Many travelers have been victims of various crimes such as home invasions, robberies, rape, and physical assault especially in Suva. This is why most residents have their own bars at home to stay safe so they do not have to go out to enjoy some nightlife.

Most crimes in Suva and Nadi are done by locals with economic problems or natives with violent ethnic backgrounds. If you happen to fall victim to any of the criminals, report the crimes immediately to your hotel’s security personnel or to the local police (Tel. No. +679 334 3777).

Be warned though that the police are not always fast to respond or solve crimes. They usually give reasons such as they are short of mobile cars to use, their mobile cars are in the repair shop, or simply, they ran out of gas.
