The Wat Phra Kaew & Grand Palace is perhaps best known to be the greatest and most popular tourist destination in Thailand. Its main attraction is of course, the Emerald Buddha. This is where the legendary statue of Buddha is kept and since then, it has also been known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
The Wat Phra Kaew & Grand Palace is a complex of brightly colored buildings and golden spires and domes. The first part of the whole compound is the wat, and you can move on until you reach the Grand Palace. This complex is very massive and the number of interesting spots can be overwhelming. Still, this is a must see attraction in order to truly appreciate the wonders of this city, the history, the culture and the religion.
