National Museum

Found in Honira, the National Museum of the Solon Islands has a wide collection that depicts the identity of its people and culture. They collect, preserve and display cultural artifacts and ancient items that show the history of the island. Other collections of the National Museum include several equipments, weapons and machinery used during the Second World War.

The building that houses the National Museum today was donated by the Japanese government along with several other buildings. The museum was officially opened in Nov 12, 1999. Aside from the display room, the building also has a media room and library.
