The mosque of Al Jazzar was built on top of the Cathedral of the Holy Cross ruins. Now it is known as the Jama El Basha which means mosque of Pasha. Decorated with blue and brown murals, wall to wall carpeting from Persia and home to various relics, it is considered as the most beautiful mosque in the area of Galilee.

The twin dome building at the entrance of the mosque lays the tomb of Al Jazzar along with his successor, Suleiman Pasha. But the most precious attraction of the mosque is a piece of hair that is said to have come from the beard of the Prophet Mohammed. This religious artifact is only shown to the public during the 27th day of Ramadan.
