For those traveling with children, an interesting site is Juanda Forest Park or Dago Pakar, a park beside Bandung’s water reservoir. The area has a picnic site where you can grill barbecues or set up a camp in a forest for the whole family. Around the area are some old caves used as hideouts during the WWII. There’s a trail in the forest that leads to Lembang’s Maribaya Park. To get to the forest park, you can hire a minivan from Bandung. There is also an angkot that passes by the park. Look for the one bound for Abd. Muis-Dago. From there, you’ll just ride a motorcycle or walk following signages leading to the picnic area and the caves.
