Swimming with Waii eels

Northeast of Ambon, near Tulehu port, is a small area called Waii. The site is famous for its giant eels that can grow up to a foot in length. If you're brave, you can swim or play with these eels. To do this, look for a local from the nearby village. For a small fee, the local would call the eels for you by slapping the water and luring them with raw egg. The eels are very slippery and would give you a tingling sensation when they pass by your legs. Apart from the eels, the pond also has several fish that you can see while snorkeling.
