If pilgrims flock to the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza, novice and advance climbers head to the extensive ranges of the Alborz. It is viewed as a thrilling experience to traverse Mount Damavand, its highest peak, and uncover its majestic trails around the renowned Castles of the Assassins. The magnificent ranges of Alborz stretch from the borders of Armenia to the Caspian Sea. The Tangeh Savashi is another range of the Alborz, a popular attraction due to its narrow canyon and its rivulet with verdant surroundings and diverse wildlife. The relic of the Qajar guard tower is still standing at the top of the mountain.
