The remote Cardamom Mountains pose several challenges for brave mountain bikers, so if you're up to it, you may arrange a mountain bike excursion through Chi Phat’s community-based eco-tourism (CBET) project (http://wildlifealliance.org/where-we-work/cambodia-conservation/community-based-ecotourism/). CBET will prepare your guesthouse, food, and more importantly, biking equipment like helmet and a manual or a moro bike. They will also provide you with a guide, hammocks, blankets, nets, basic hiking equipment, and optional cooks.

The tracks include dusty dirt roads, old logging routes, undulating single and double trails, streams, shallow rivers, and lowland rainforests surrounded by forested hills. You will also be stopping over at some waterfalls and be allowed to take a refreshing dip. Additionally, you may ask your guide to take you to ancient burial jar sites, bat caves, and wildlife enclaves such as the natural habitats of wild elephants.
