For those who want to track down the old hunting and logging trails of Cambodia, you may want to try signing up for a two to three-day camping and hiking excursion at the Cardamoms. Chi Phat’s community-based eco-tourism (CBET) project offers tours for those who want to see diverse wildlife and visit ancient burial jar sites. The tour includes the following:
-drinking from freshwater streams
-spotting for playing gibbons
-saying "hi" to mountain villagers living in tatched houses
-bird-watching to see parrots, hornbills, etc.
-visiting burial jar sites (ask your guide to bring you there)
-sleeping on hammocks or makeshift tents made of wooden poles (in the middle of the forest)
-grilling your own breakfast
