Trekking the Inca Trail

If you are going to arrange a trek to the Inca Trail from Cusco, prefer to schedule your hike between November and mid-April as the trail is not crowded during this time and the water supply in Peru is abundant and fresh. It's advisable to start your trek very early in the morning while the weather is still clear and most roads to off-the-beaten villages are still passable. Prepare for heavy rains in the afternoon and drizzles at night. Afternoons and nighttime are not good for going to the remote villages as the rains during these times make the roads impassable.
