Travelers may be charmed buy local Nepalese  children, especially the cute ones, and unwittingly pat their heads, a gesture practiced in many countries. In Nepal, the head is the most sacred part of the body, and is not for just anyone to touch.  Remember, just put on a smile and forget about the pat on the head.
