The Fountain of Neptune is an important landmark which is located right in the heart of this artistic city. It is a marble sculpture of the topmost artistic order. A visit to the domed cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore, is a must. You will get to experience the beauty and magnificence of the dome. It is also accompanied by the Campanile tower and the Baptistery buildings. This magnificent dome is still considered as the world’s largest dome built with brick and mortar. Rarely does a structure hold your attention so easily.

The San Lorenzo market is a good place to shop for leather items and souvenirs. The Mercato Centrale offers the best food options which you can get in Florence. There are other smaller markets too out here. It is important to take a leisurely walk in these places as that’s the best way to enjoy this unique experience. If you are interested in good bargains and rare finds, then head towards the famed flea market of Florence. You can find it at the Piazza dei Ciompi. Artifacts, coins, jewellery and other ancient stuff can be bought at this market at very reasonable prices.
