It is not advisable to drop by Bali during the Nyepi season (March 16 in 2010) which is a sacred occasion for the Hindus who comprise almost the total population of this island. During this event, businesses are closed and no activities are done. Bali, a vibrant place all-year round, turns into a ghost town during this time.
