Beaches in China

China is normally not a popular  beach destination, but if you're on the lookout for some nice sun, sea and sun "under the kingdom of heaven," try these spots:

Haikou http://www.communi-trip.com/china/haikou/information.html

Haikou is China's version of a Pacific paradise. None of the usual city bustle can be traced in this coastal town, even if it is the skyline-swathed capital of Hainan Province.

Hebei http://www.communi-trip.com/china/hebei/information.html

Hebei offers great hiking, beaches, traditional entertainment, and historical sites that enable tourists to step back into antiquity.

Beidaihe http://www.communi-trip.com/china/beidaihe/information.html

Beidaihe is the Communist Party's favorite summer retreat until today. Mao Zedong used to have a resort there.

Qingdao in Shandong Province

Qingdao stands by its literal meaning as “Blue-Green Island” for its fairly-clean beaches that have gained popularity as local tourists’ favorite summer getaways. Among these beaches are Loashan, Old Stone Man, Zhanqiao Pier, Shilaoren, the quiet Beach # 2, Muscle Beach, and City Beach, which has a central island entirely made of recycled plastic.
