Yixing is considered as the pottery capital of China, which is why it comes to no surprise that Dingshan in Yixing features the Ceramics Museum. The museum is home to several teapots and examples of zisha pottery. The items found in the museum come from different dynasties as well which include the Han Dynasty, Jin, Song, Qing and Ming as well as modern times.
In 2004, the Ceramics Museum had undergone major renovations. The museum retains its traditional palace like appearance from the outside, but inside the building is very modern.
