Philly as it is nicknamed, has several significant and interesting attractions worth a penny. Perhaps, the most famous of them is the Liberty Bell Pavilion that houses the 2080lb bell. For the culture fiends and art lovers, there are museums and galleries a plenty. Another unique piece of history still preserved in Philly is the Betsy Ross House. She is said to have sewn the first U.S flag that was presented to George Washington.

The African American museum was the first major museum in the U.S and is a must watch as it is devoted specifically to the African American history and traditions.

The Hershey Park that was originally developed or the employees of the Hershey chocolate company has now become a full fledged amusement and water park just outside Philly. Along with oozing hot chocolate and authentic home cooked flavor food, it also offers 60 rides 10 of which are roller coasters. This attraction is worth a drive for you and your kids. Designed specially for children, the Please Touch museum offers youngsters a chance to explore and learn through hands on activities, interactive programs and exhibitions.

The national and historical attraction that stands out in the minds of one and all is the Independence Hall where the U.S constitution was signed and the Declaration of Independence was signed and adopted.

The Philadelphia zoo attracts tourists from all around the world to see the zoo’s more than 1300 animal species. It also houses a petting zoo; paddle Boat Lake and balloon ride providing a view of the Philadelphia Center City skyline and of course the zoo.

At night, Philly is buzzing with activity and sizzling with energy no matter what you are busy with. You could be sipping a cocktail in south Philadelphia or catching a live jazz show in Northern Liberties, you are pretty much assured of a frolicking time.

Famous for its delicious cheese steaks, Philly has graciously emerged as one of country’s finest culinary destinations. Four-star dining rooms, bistros, romantic foodie hideaways or upscale boisterous tap rooms share the sidewalk with high profile restaurants owned by star restaurateurs.
