Every hot spring in Taiwan may claim to have 100% naturally-occuring mineral water, however some public baths (especially those high-end ones) are said to cheat on the customers by adding sulfur powder on plain water. Worse is that some would even 'recycle' water that has been bathed in by other customers. A word to the wise: the more remote the hot spring is, the purer the water is!
