Malate in the capital of Manila used to be the regular destination of tourists because of its bohemian vibe until videoke bars have cropped up and virtually killed its appeal. But a good restaurant still remains which is Cafe Adriatico, established in 1979. Be sure to order their steak which my British friend simply relished when he was there. For fine-dining, you can't go wrong in Greenbelt area in Makati where selections are dime-a-dozen. If you are going for Filipino food, you can go to Fely's. For a more youthful vibe, choose one of the bars in Tomas Morato in Quezon City. Decades is one of the most popular among them. For a laid-back, al fresco-style dining, then you can go to Serendra in Bonifacio Global City. For a booming nightlife crawling with celebrities, then Embassy is right up your alley.
