As much as Wulai's rivers can appease your craving for a little swim, be sure to get out of the water before 4-5 in the afternoon. Late afternoon showers are quite frequent in the area, and the rivers can get flooded fast. Another thing is to watch out for little snakes and leeches in the water or by the shores.
