Since I went there to learn surfing years ago, the place become so dear to me though my surfing has not vastly improved I keep coming back.
Though San Juan doesn't have the immaculate sand beaches of Bora nor the loud bars to entertain you at night, the resort that you will find are pretty much Spartan. I say the place has a charm in its own, the Ilocano's are warm and hospitable, the place is clean and laidback!
And the waves? Of course its a taste of heaven!
